After the recent loss of pitcher Ryan Koval this winter the Sox needed to rebuild their pitching staff. Newest Sox Frank Backer and Joe Redmond suggested a former Cardinal and RCK graduate who is eager to win his first HVNABA Championship. The Black Sox are happy to announce the signing of pitcher Brian Tompkins. Brian took a year off from baseball but is excited to get back on the field with his new team. Tompkins played his high school ball at Roy C Ketcham with most of the Sox players so this is a natural fit. Brian brings a career record of 22 - 6 with a 3.31 era. The right handed sidearmer will join Joe Redmond, Andrew Dinardo and Stephen Merrill(when ready) who will all see innings on the mound this year. With playoffs being 3 possible 9 inning games in one weekend the Sox may add 1 more arm to finalize their rotation...This staff combined with a powerful offense hopes to help the Sox defend their Championship in 2022! Welcome to the Sox Brian!
