Next up for the Sox is HVNABA veteran and 2018 HVNABA MVP Frank Backer. Backer brings a career average of .364 and is one of the toughest outs in the entire league striking out only 6 times per year on average. In 2021 Frank hit .350 while only striking out twice in 100 plate appearances making him the toughest player to strikeout in the entire division. This move to the Black Sox was a no brainer for Frank being that he played his high school ball with most of the team at RCK while also being a part of the Sox Twilight team for the last few years. Backer who has been in the league since 2011 is also looking for his 1st HVNABA Championship!
